Age Restricted Communities in Las Vegas

As I mature in age (ok fine, get older) I realize that I am only 18 months away from qualifying to purchase a home in an “age-restricted” community.

Over the years The McKenna team has worked with a large number of clients who bought and sold in these types of communities.

Now that it is a little closer to home, I decided to take a closer look at age restricted communities in the Las Vegas Valley.

We actually visited 2 such communities over the weekend. We went to Trilogy by Shea Homes and Regency by Toll Brothers.

Both were located in Summerlin. Both were very, very nice. Usually in a community in which you must be 55 or older to own you would see only single story homes.

The interesting thing about the Trilogy community is that there are multiple models and floorplans that include 2nd stories and even 3rd stories. There are amazing views from some of the homes.

Regency by Toll Brothers is a bit more traditional with only single story homes. There are some very interesting floorplans in Regency.

The one that stuck out to us was a 2 bedroom model that had a huge covered patio which connected to both bedrooms and created a massive outdoor living space.

It would be an amazing space for entertaining or just relaxing.

The clubhouses in both Regency and Trilogy are tremendous. Regency has both an indoor and outdoor resort like pool.

Trilogy has multiple pickle ball courts and a luxurious pool overlooking the Vegas Strip. Both offer great amenities and opportunities for residents to remain active.

There are over 12 age-restricted communities throughout the valley including 4 Sun City communities. Options are certainly plenty. We can help with your search.

Call us to arrange a tour to view some of these communities. Who knows, maybe we’ll wind up being neighbors.
